Waterless Boat Race
I produced this short video documentary following demolition derby driver Ryan Horn through the wildest boat race in Arizona.
The rules are simple. Whoever has a piece of boat dragging behind their car at the end wins.
Crashing into other driver’s boats is encouraged.
The waterless boat race is an annual event held at the Havasu 95 Speedway. Check their schedule to see when the next one is.
This is an example of the kind of storytelling I love to do. I love doing stories on people with big personalities that take the viewer to places they didn’t know existed. I dare you to watch this story and not laugh out loud.
This was part of my portfolio of stories that won the Video Journalist Rocky Mountain Emmy for that year.
