Explainer Video

USA Today came to me with an important investigation they were doing that needed and explainer video. Investigative reporter Brett Murphy was writing a complex series of stories about truck drivers in California who were being forced into debt by their employers and forced into working crazy hours.

If they complained they faced the possibility of loosing their jobs as well as all the money they invested in their trucks leaving them with mounds of debt.

It was a story that needed an explainer video to help readers understand what was happening to the truck drivers. There were few visual elements to work with so we decided on using motion graphics to tell the story.
