The Wall

In 2018, The Arizona Republic was honored with a Pulitzer Prize for Explanatory Journalism for our groundbreaking project, “The Wall.” I had the privilege of editing and partially shooting the video for this ambitious endeavor.

We crafted a comprehensive multimedia experience that enabled readers to visually explore every inch of the U.S./Mexico border. Our approach was immersive, sending teams to unearth and document the daily realities faced by those who live along the border. This multifaceted exploration resulted in a nuanced narrative, far more complex than what is typically presented in cable news segments.

The video component of “The Wall” also earned a Rocky Mountain Emmy for its exceptional video editing, further underscoring the project’s impact and significance in today’s media landscape.
