One year after being deported

Mother of two Guadalupe Garcia de Rayos is believed to be the first person deported after President Trump took office and ordered stricter immigration enforcement.

Her story made national news when protestors blocked the ICE van she was in from leaving a detention center in Downtown Phoenix.

A year after her deportation reporter Daniel Gonzales and I traveled to her home in Acambaro, Mexico. We wanted to see how being deported effected her life and the relationship with her American children.

We also interviewed her American family members about how her deportation effected their life.

This is a short video documentary I produced to go along with the indepth article.
