Arizona is a battleground state in the 2020 presidential election. AZCentral asked me to create a short video open to be used as a front bumper for election videos.
I wanted to give them something that felt high tech and modern. Almost like you were seeing an election mission control room.
The opening parts are made with some vector graphics, simple After Effect precomps, and a camera moving through the 3D scene.
I used the Data Damage animated font from Matthew Butler for the ‘Battleground 2020’ text.
The 3D Arizona was made using Element 3D, made by Video Copilot, with a mask of the shape of Arizona.
Glows were made using Deep Glow, my favorite glow plugin for After Effects.
